Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko] or [paDuko]), is an Indian film actress. She is most often seen in films that are primarily Hindi-language. Padukone is among the most highly paid actresses in India with her accomplishments that includes the three Filmfare Awards. Time Magazine named Padukone one of the top 100 Influential people around the world in 2018. They also gave her The TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone was a daughter to the badminton world winner Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. She played badminton at national championships as a teenager but she gave up playing for the sake of becoming a model. Then, she was receiving requests to perform in films. Her debut acting role was as Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone also played the dual in the role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) Her debut Bollywood film. The film was awarded Padukone an award called the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone's role as the lead in Love Aaj Kal was well received, but it was soon followed by a setback that was unfortunate.
