tito ortiz-1Jacob Christopher is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently a Combate Americas promotee. [2] Ortiz is most well-known for his involvement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in which he was an ex-UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, having been the champion from April 14, 2000 until September 26 2003. Along with other fighters like Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, he was among the early stars in the sport. Ortiz ultimately became the biggest pay-per view draw of 2006 thanks to his bouts with Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Ken Shamrock.Ortiz is the chief executive officer of Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line, located in his home town of Huntington Beach, California.
